Can you pay multiple landlords?

Yes, we can split percentage payment for your landlords. We do not have a limit on a number of landlords per farm.

If I do not want my cotton income in this year, can you guys hold it until next year?

Yes, we can hold any specific amount of your cotton income. If you would like us to hold all of it until next year, we can. If you want a certain amount in this year and the remainder in the next, we can do that too.

If my landlords do not want their cotton income in this year, can you guys hold it too?

Yes, same thing for them as for the producer. Even if we hold the producers cotton income, we can still pay each landlord as soon as we receive the funding in from the buyer.

Once the producer Harvests the cotton, how do we get paid through DRH Cotton?

Well, it depends on your contract. But for the short and easy, it normally works like this-

1. Once the cotton is ginned, it is sent to the contracted warehouse and/or where you choose to store the cotton.

2. When the cotton is checked into the warehouse, the EWRs are then sent to us.

3. Once we receive the EWRs, we either send it on to the buyer or we place it into the USDA Loan. (Depending on the type of contract you have.)

4. If your contract wants the cotton in the loan, we place it in the loan and then receive the EWRs back on those bales. Then, we forward the EWRs to the buyer.

5. Once the buyer has the bales, then they pay us for the invoiced amount.

6. When we receive payment, we then invoice the producer and cut the checks or hold the checks until the producer is ready to receive funding.

How quickly can I receive payment?

Just as soon as we get the EWRs to the buyer, we usually have a turn around time of about 1-2 business days.

Does DRH Cotton actually buy the cotton?

No, we do not actually buy the cotton off the producer. We are the agent which means we find the best price for the producer and then complete all steps and paperwork to get that cotton into the buyers hands.
